“A Man like Me” My Journey to Manhood,
And the Mistakes I made along the way.
Self-Published by: Marlvis (Butch) Kennedy
The new book entitled “A Man like Me” My journey to Manhood, and the Mistakes I made along the way, chronicles my life from adolescence to adulthood as well as some of the mistakes I made along the way. By being born a male destiny had defined my fate at birth, and like many boys society dictated the type of man I would become. All throughout my life I failed trying to live up to those expectations of manhood. I became the man that I am today because of the mistakes I made in my past. During my journey I learned of the strength and courage that women possess and became an advocate to reduce violence against them. I formed an organization REALMAD (Real Men against Domestic Violence). Our purpose is to engage men and teach them our role in ending violence against women.
